Scotland! Hello kilts, scotch and haggis. We arrived in Edinburgh at about 6:00pm on a Friday, grabbed a quick dinner, then joined a pub crawl. What a great start to Scotland! The next morning we toured the Edinburgh castle and visited some street markets. Our last day in Edinburgh was super jam packed, starting with a hike of Arther's Seat in the morning. It was a great hike with some beautiful views. This was followed by some scotch tasting where I learned about the process of making scotch whiskey, the different kinds, and then a view of the world's biggest scotch collection! After that we did a walking tour of the old underground city. The next day we travelled into the Highlands. There's not much to say about the Highlands except that it is so beautiful and unique that it takes your breath away. After our three day tour we finished Scotland off in Glasgow where we spent the day wandering around at a much slower and more relaxed pace. Now we're off to Ireland for almost two weeks! We cant wait. I hope you enjoy my pictures from Scotland!

It's crazy to think that last August I was drinking coffee on 17th Ave with a friend talking about travelling more and, here, almost a year later i'm finding myself in a different country about to start another journey! London was a very fast and furious 3 days, we did all of the touristy stuff so i'm not really going to talk about that too much. Im just going to touch on my highlights. The first night we saw The Book of Mormon and holy moly it was so funny! On the third day we went to Borough Market which was so cool to see. It's a food market and it does not disappoint! After the market we went straight to the European Rugby Champions Cup, and the only word I have to describe it is WOW! Haha, Im so glad we got to see it. It was such a cool experience. After crazy London we headed to Bath, then Cardiff. Both very cute and quant cities to explore for a day. Making our way from Cardiff to Ambleside was quite the adventure, we had three trains and a bus. All of which were delayed making for a very long day of travel. Also adding to the mix, we got off at the wrong stop and had to walk a mile in heavy downpour with all our bags... We also didn't know the address of our hostel and when we got there we were told that we were a day early... An experience for sure! But we made it. Wet, yes, but safe and thank goodness with a room to sleep. We spent the first day in Ambleside doing a really beautiful walk, and exploring a small side town called Bowness. The second day we got up and took out a row boat for a while then did a 10km hike up one of the mountains. The views were absolutely breathtaking and totally worth the climb. But I am really disappointed to tell you that my camera died and I stupidly did not pack an extra battery. I managed to get a couple ok pictures with my phone, hopefully they'll do some justice! Enjoy... It's been a crazy month here, but somehow last weekend I managed to get up to Lake Louise for the day. Of course I brought my camera and took some pictures of beautiful Alberta! Enjoy.
This past week i've had a couple of opportunities to leave my bubble and go explore my beautiful provence of Alberta. It's made me think just how much I take living here for granted. It's so beautiful and although these pictures just don't do it justice I hope they make you want to get out and explore a little, it's always worth it!
A little while ago I had the pleasure of being in Palm Desert with one of my close friends, Courtney. We graduated from the NAIT photography program together, so of course couldn't help ourselves but to take lots of pictures. Here are some of my favourite shots of Courtney!
I hope you enjoy! |
